About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications, the position of Associate, Investor Relations will support the implementation and management of the Company’s Investor Relations strategy. The primary objective of the IR program is to develop and deliver comprehensive IR activities and communications to shareholders, potential investors, analysts, bankers and retail brokers, with the goal of educating and keep investors and security analysts up to date about the Company, expanding the investor base, and building market credibility, in order to achieve a fair relative stock price. The role requires the development of cross-functional relationships and interaction with people at all levels of the organization as well as external analysts and investors. This position is a hybrid role out of our Corporate HQ in Toronto, ON.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • In close collaboration with the Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications, organize and coordinate global marketing activities, including the preparation of all materials for investor conferences, roadshows, investor days and site tours.
  • Assist in drafting of company communications including press releases, investor presentations, and quarterly conference call materials. Manage the distribution of press releases and other materials, occasionally outside of normal office hours.
  • Maintain a record of all investor interactions in a CRM system to track and measure activities.
  • Monitor the Investor Relations inbox. Collaborate with both corporate departments and global teams, including finance, exploration, corporate development, and mine operating sites, to ensure investor queries are managed efficiently and accurately, and responded to in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update the corporate website to ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Execute on the established social media strategy, managing the content calendar and developing content for posts on a consistent basis throughout the year. Create videos, images and infographics for social media using video editing and graphics design tools such as Canva, Photoshop, etc.
  • Monitor sell-side analyst reports. Prepare and report summaries to the Executives and the Board of Directors.
  • Understand and effectively communicate the Company’s strategic and operational performance.
  • Assist with the targeting of potential shareholders.
  • Collaborate with the Sustainability team, to ensure disclosure requirements are maintained and investor ESG queries are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate on trade shows and events.
  • Manage the design and finalization of annual reports and circulars.
  • Monitor media reports on the Company and report the findings and any recommendations to the Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications on an on-going basis.
  • Perform other duties as required, including support for the day-to-day management of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications activities.

About You

The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting/finance, or other relevant area.
  • 1-5 years of related Investor Relations experience.
  • Prior experience in capital markets and/or mining industry is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to grammar.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • High level of attention to detail and extremely organized.
  • Results-oriented and a drive to constantly learn and improve.
  • Proactive problem solver with a positive attitude, adaptable to new challenges in a fast-paced environment, committed to owning the outcomes of assigned projects.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Interpersonal skills allowing candidate to confidently interact with all levels of management and external investment professionals.
  • Highly proficient at Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word and excellent research skills.
  • Extensive skills in preparation of presentations with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in graphic design programs such as Canva, Photoshop, etc.
  • Familiarity with S&P CapIQ, BD Corporate, Bloomberg or other similar systems.
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours when needed.
