About Thompson Creek Mine
The Thompson Creek Mine is a primary, surface molybdenum mine and mill located approximately 48 kilometres southwest of the town of Challis in Idaho's Custer County.
In operations since 1983, the mine uses conventional open-pit mining methods with large electric-powered shovels that can each move up to 100,000 tons of waste rock and ore per day.
Thompson Creek Mine promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site.
About The Opportunity
We are looking for a Technician, Warehouse to join our Thompson Creek team. In this role, you will be responsible for warehouse operations and to provide high levels of customer satisfaction relative to inventory service levels and communication.
Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team. Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Be detail-orientated and maintain a clean work environment.
- Must be safety conscious and abide by established safety/environmental rules and regulations.
- Receiving /shipping of materials.
- Operating forklifts and flatbed trucks.
- Physical Inventory.
- Unloading of trucks.
- Customer service.
- Using MRP system (SAP).
- Microsoft office.
- Demonstrate a strong safety ethic, and understand and support Thompson Creek Mine’s safety culture, including all safety/environmental processes/procedures.
- Be able to demonstrate good leadership skills and support the processes.
- Be team-orientated, self-motivated and willing to share knowledge.
- May be assigned other duties.
About You
To qualify, the following skills and experiences are required:
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Excellent safety record
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to personal transportation.
- Be task and detail-oriented, possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Be knowledgeable of related computer programs and systems (Microsoft Office, SAP).
- Required to meet pre-employment testing requirements.
- Work in other departments if needed.
- SAP knowledge preferred, but not required. Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in adverse conditions.
- Willing to work rotating shifts if needed.
- Experience working in a culturally diverse environment an asset.
