About Thompson Creek Mine
The Thompson Creek Mine is a primary, surface molybdenum mine and mill located approximately 48 kilometers southwest of the town of Challis in Idaho's Custer County.
In operations since 1983, the mine uses conventional open-pit mining methods with large electric-powered shovels that can each move up to 100,000 tons of waste rock and ore per day.
Thompson Creek Mine promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site.
About The Opportunity
We are looking for a Human Resources Administrator to join our Thompson Creek team. The Human Resources Administrator provides a full range of administrative support to the HR team, contributing to the smooth operations of the department. The incumbent will respond to employee inquiries, prepare documentation, and perform various administrative functions.
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Responds to general inquiries related to HR policies, programs, and procedures.
- Prepares and maintains general HR paperwork and employee documentation. Ensure digital personnel files are complete and up to date.
- Enters new hire information into global HRIS & payroll systems; responsible for maintaining integrity of site data (org charts, position management against budgets) within those systems.
- Performs administrative functions such as preparing job descriptions and coordinating new hire onboarding and the offboarding process.
- Assist HR team with planning, coordinating, and executing company events, employee recognition, and ad hoc projects as required.
About You
To qualify, the following skills and experiences are required:
- College diploma in HR, Business, Administration or related field.
- 1-2 years experience working in HR or in an administrative role.
- HR certification or pursuing a certification.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors an asset.
