Reporting to the VP & General Manager, TCM, with a dotted line to the US Moly Controller, the Manager, Finance is TCM’s senior site finance leader, owning financial planning & analysis (FP&A), accounting operations, and finance process improvement for the site – acting, in effect, as the site controller. The incumbent leads the monthly and quarterly close, annual budget, quarterly forecasts and long-term (life-of-mine) value models for TCM, ensures the integrity of site financial reporting and internal controls, and drives continuous improvement of finance processes and systems at site. This position leads a team of three direct reports (Supervisor, Accounting; Senior Analyst; and AP Coordinator) and partners closely with site operations leadership and the corporate finance team.

Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Own the site’s accounting function – including the monthly and quarterly close, journal entries, accruals, and G/L account reconciliations – providing coaching and support to the accounting team.
- Review and approve the work of the Supervisor, Accounting and AP Coordinator, ensuring the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of TCM’s accounting records and reported financial results.
- Oversee the proper design and operation of SOX-404 controls at site, partnering with the corporate finance team on testing and remediation.
- Oversee accounts payable and site cash management processes, ensuring appropriate controls, vendor relationships and timely, accurate payment processing.
- Serve as the primary site contact for internal and external auditors on accounting matters, and ensure site results are accurately reflected in corporate consolidated reporting.
- Design and maintain monthly reports of site operations for site leadership, including in advance of any new operations start-up.
Financial Planning & Analysis (Budgeting & Forecasting)
- Lead preparation of TCM’s annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-term (life-of-mine) plans, working closely with mine planning, operations, engineering and other site departments.
- Serve as the site’s primary point of contact for forecasting and budgeting questions, maintaining close communication with the corporate FP&A team.
- Develop and maintain a detailed plan and timeline for the quarterly forecast update and annual budget cycle, and hold site department leads accountable to those timelines.
- Coordinate compilation and presentation of TCM’s forecast and budget materials as part of Centerra’s defined budget and planning cycle.
- Provide financial analysis and decision support to site leadership on operating performance, cost trends and capital allocation, including support for any active capital projects at site.
- Support scenario analysis to evaluate mine plan iterations, capex trade-offs and other project or operational value drivers as necessary.
Process Improvement & Team Leadership
- Act as the site controller: drive documentation of existing and new finance processes and procedures, and develop recommendations for accounting and FP&A process improvement and adoption of best practices.
- Lead, coach and develop the site finance team (Supervisor, Accounting; Senior Analyst; and AP Coordinator), including workload allocation, performance management and professional development.
- Champion effective use of finance systems (e.g., SAP) at site, identifying opportunities to streamline transactional processes and strengthen controls.
- Enhance the quality, automation and visualization of site financial reporting and data to support decision-making by site leadership.
- Build strong working relationships across site departments (operations, mine planning, engineering, HR) and with the corporate finance team to ensure smooth, timely flow of information.
