About the Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an Accounting Supervisor to join the Centerra Langeloth team. In this onsite role, you will be responsible for supervising and maintaining the core processes related to the company’s accounting function, including supervising the site accounting team, financial reporting, management reporting, and internal control policies and procedures.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise the site accounting function and provide necessary coaching, support and development to the team.
- Oversee the preparation of the financial statements and monthly report of operations, ensuring completeness, accuracy and quality of the schedules and disclosures.
- Supervise the monthly close and internal reporting processes focusing on providing a summary of the Company’s financial and operating performance with the ability to explain results and trends and interpret variances from plans/expectations.
- Review and enhance the Company’s internal controls framework to ensure all key controls are implemented and operating effectively. Propose and implement new controls as situations warrant. Ensure overall compliance with the SOX Section 404 and Company policies.
- Build relationships with the site management teams and ensure regular cross-functional communication.
- Develop and implement new accounting policies, as required.
- Key contact for external auditors for quarterly review and annual audit process.
- Plan and execute special projects, as needed.
About You
The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. CPA is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and internal control frameworks. Experience with public companies and SOX requirements preferred.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
- Four to six years accounting experience.
- Strong communicator with ability to coach and lead the accounting team.
