About the Opportunity

We have an opportunity for an Developer, SAP to join the Centerra Corporate team. This is a remote position reporting to the Manager, SAP Global Support, and will be responsible for assisting the SAP team meet the maintenance and scalability needs of our S/4 Hana (RISE) Private Cloud system with development, troubleshooting and WRICEF objects. The role will be required to support the HR, MM, SD, PM, FI, CO, and PS S/4 Hana modules. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our SAP system is working effectively and efficiently. 

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop software applications using the most suitable ABAP and Fiori technologies.
  • Design / develop and maintain Fiori applications to enhance user experience including:
    • Use of SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) for application development and deployment.
    • Integrate solutions via SAP Integration Suite (CPI).
  • Build custom reports to support stakeholder requirements.
  • Perform required testing activities.
  • Documentation of all changes in SAP and technical specification documents.
  • Follow change management standards ensuring adequate testing in development, QAS and then production support.
  • Collaborate with other project and operational team members to facilitate resolution of issues and completion of activities.
  • Perform daily maintenance, monitoring, and administration of SAP S/4HANA system.
  • Design and build SAP solutions and integrations including but not limited to:
    • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
    • API connectivity to 3rd party solution providers (payments, taxes, Etc.).
    • Electronic bank statements.
    • Data transformation from internal production systems.
    • Approval workflows.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve and streamline processes.
  • Review and establish controls based on feedback from auditors.
  • Development environment includes Fiori/UI5, ABAP, Web Services, WebDynpro, SQL, XML, XSL, HTML, Java, C; main development.
  • Develop and enhance ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows based on functional specifications.
  • Integrate SAP modules with other systems and applications as per the business needs.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance problems within SAP systems.

About you

The following will be critical to successfully performing this role: 

  • 10 years of ABAP design, development, testing and deployment experience that includes Fiori, CDS, OData, SAPUI5, Adobe forms, RF, BRF+, Workflow, HTML, BADI's, enhancements, function modules, BADI, BAPI and user exits.
  • Minimum 3 years experience on S/4 Hana preferably version 2021 or higher as well as 3 years designing / developing and maintaining Fiori applications.
  • 2 years experience maintaining, supporting and trouble shooting SAP Integration Suite with advanced experience handling CPI (Cloud Platform Integration) integrations projects.
  • SAP ABAP certification is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or equivalent is an asset.
  • Strong programming background and excellent technical skills in ABAP, ABAP OO, Data Dictionary, Function Module, OData & CDS.
  • Supports the design, development and maintenance of SAP Fiori Applications, including architecture and implementation of the OData layer and Fiori UI components.
  • Experience developing web applications preferred, using applications such as HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, JSON, XML, AJAX, SVG standards, and JavaScript frameworks like jQuery and D3.
  • Advanced trouble shooting experience analyzing code to resolve issues.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Mastery of classic ABAP language, object-oriented programming and “ABAP for Cloud development” in the SAP BTP ABAP environment.
    • In-depth knowledge of various integration technologies and standards (Web Services, OData, IDoc, BAPI, etc.);
    • Forms development skills with Smart Forms and Adobe Forms.
    • Knowledge of Fiori applications and services development.
    • Extended CDS Views skills (creation of CDS Views, publication in OData) for the needs of S/4 embedded and SAP Analytic Cloud (SAC) analytical extensions.
  • Experience using the following BTP development tools: Business Application Studio, SAP BTP ABAP Environment, SAP Build, and SAP Integration Suite (CPI).
  • Development of CPI integrations focused on SFTP and API. Integration maintenance with connections with SAP and non-SAP systems through API and SFTP.
  • Knowledge of integration protocols (REST, SOAP, OData, etc.) and data formats (XML, JSON, IDoc, etc.).
  • Experience in S4H ABAP, CDS Views / AMDPs, Newer ABAP syntaxes (7.5).
  • Advanced experience using JAVASCRIPT, HTML5, and CSS3, for app development/customization.
  • Hands on experience with EDI integration, MES, Banking.
  • Proven experience in global SAP ERP implementation, upgrade and support projects.
  • Experience with security job roles. GRC, authorization and user access an asset.
