About the Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Rhenium Operator to join the Centerra Langeloth team. This position is an onsite role based in Langeloth, PA, with a rotating shift schedule and is responsible for overseeing the extraction and purification processes.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Operate various equipment and machinery involved in the extraction and purification of rhenium.
- Continuously monitor process parameters, such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, and chemical concentrations to ensure the safe and efficient production.
- Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure product meets establish specification and quality standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain as safe working environment.
- Identify and report safety hazards promptly.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs on equipment to prevent downtime.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, processes, and quality control data. Prepare reports as required.
- Work closely with other plant operators, technicians, and supervisors to coordinate production activities.
- Ensure environmental regulations and standards are followed during the production process, including proper handling of waste materials.
- Suggest and implement process improvement.
About You
The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong understanding of chemical processes and safety protocols.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot machinery.
- Proven experience in industrial operations, preferably in chemical or metal processing plant.
