About the Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Lab Analyst to join our Centerra Langeloth team. This position is an onsite role based in Langeloth, PA, responsible for performing various lab tests, experiments and analysis to support scientific research, quality assurance, and development activities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- The acquisition and preparation of raw material and finished goods samples.
- Routine testing of samples to ensure compliance with product quality requirements.
- Preparation of laboratory reagents, solutions and standards.
- Routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Routine inspection and adjustment of automated sampling devices.
- Preparation of sample shipments.
- Cleanup of sampling, sample preparation, testing and sample storage areas.
- Ensures compliance with quality assurance procedures.
- Prepare reports and summaries of findings.
- Adheres to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain adequate supplies and reagents for lab operations.
- Unload materials and parts from transportation vessels using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
- Inspect incoming materials for quality and compliance with established procedure and specifications.
- Stays up to date on industry best practices and refresher trainings throughout the year of all SOP’s and JSA’s
- Other duties as assigned.
About You
The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn plant operations methods/practices.
- Handle equipment safely and sensibly; understand and follow instructions.
- Proficient at using a wide range of lab equipment and techniques.
