About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Sustainability, the position of Analyst, Sustainability, is responsible for supporting a range of disclosure, reporting, and data management activities for Centerra Gold’s Corporate Sustainability team. This role includes assisting with data systems, supporting internal and external communications, contributing to sustainability reporting initiatives, and providing general administrative support to the team.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and improve sustainability data systems, including data collection, verification, organization, and maintenance of internal documentation and record.
  • Lead GHG accounting activities with a strong focus on data accuracy, verification, and continual improvement of emissions calculation and reporting processes.
  • Support sustainability reporting disclosure processes and contribute to strengthening workflow for the annual sustainability report, including document control, quality assurance, and content preparation.
  • Analyze sustainability performance data and develop reports, dashboards, and technical content for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage with internal teams, investors, and ESG rating agencies to ensure accurate reporting and improved ESG ratings.
  • Conduct benchmarking and research to inform sustainability strategies, programs, and materiality assessments.
  • Complete SAP tasks, including invoice processing, purchase requisitions, and purchase order management.
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and disclosures related to environmental and social performance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

About You

The following will be critical to successfully performing this role: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, environmental sciences, sustainability, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in ESG analysis, sustainability reporting, data management, environmental and social performance or related areas.
  • Experienced in organizing and prioritizing objectives and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with use of Outlook, Word processing, Excel and other spreadsheet and database programs, and presentation software.
  • Demonstrate excellent project management, administration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate with other departments to obtain information and build positive relationships.
